To sustain and nurture the strengths of LAFSD so our students and community continue to thrive, we need to ensure a fiscally stable District and strong stewardship of our resources.
The Lafayette Business Services Department is responsible for the District's fiscal services, student nutrition services, and shipping and warehousing:
- Fiscal Services: budgeting, payroll, benefits, purchasing, accounts receivable/payable, parcel tax, general obligation bonds, budget advisory committee, citizens' oversight committees, risk management, contracts & agreements
- Student Nutrition Services: food service program, meals contracts, National School Lunch Program qualification and reimbursement, nutrition policies
- Shipping & Warehousing Services: asset management and inventory, shipping and receiving, e-waste and hazardous waste disposal
- Maintenance & Operations and Technology Guidance & Support: strategic planning, budget, and administrative support for maintenance & operations, bond, and technology programs
